WIW: Crab Thanksgiving

Had turkey dinner at lunch. My efforts passed. Mum says she is officially old now because her daughter is cooking. Guess the Thanksgiving I did grouse doesn’t count

This is what I’m wearing for the larger get together with all the uncles. It has started to rain again and the shoes are suede... I’m just crossing my fingers here.

Lisap, thank you! I was hoping the skinny fore-sleeves would be elongating, so maybe it worked!

I did wear some jewelry for once. A necklace my uncle gave me. I think it was a museum gift purchase.

Also, I just have to tell someone... my family is really short. I think they’re getting shorter! Without my brother there, I’m very alone. I’ve got a foot clearance on everyone and I’m not tall! It’s weird. Lol!

Rachy you truly look amazing. Now you must be careful taking on cooking duties. My gorgeous husband is a great cook and not long after we were a couple offered to cook the BBQ, well once my Dad passed over the tongs to him, he had them forever....something he still regrets (well sort of, 'cause my Dad had the view that if you turned up the heat, the cooking was over faster with the end result of black on the outside and raw on the inside food). No wonder everyone in my family was thrilled when we got married.

Bijou - I gotta remember that... high heat! Lol. Have to confess, having all those tiny people critique my cooking petrifies me. Lol. It’s not what they’ll say, it’s how tiny they are. It will be like feeding squirrels. I remember cooking lessons with my mum and grandmum... two tiny women scurrying over the quality of my dicing.

Bonnie - I agree about museums and jewellery. I do like this necklace. Not to mention, normally I get a very odd CD.
