Tomorrow is the beginning of SYC! So I'm of to an early start with an outfit of items that have been in the closet for some time.

Wide leg black pants (Suzanne Grae)
Patterned blouse (Target)
with red belt (Target)
Cropped black cardigan (Jacqui E)
Suede Booties (Rubi)
Necklace (gift from Master 9 from Ritual)

Just a quiet work day!

Yes, here we go for our May Madness SYC. I actually played in my closet a bit today trying on different combos and am actually kind of excited about our experiment.

Love the rich tones in your blouse. I need to come to Australia and go to Target with you - your Target finds look so much better than what we have here lol.

I absolutely love the silhouette here. You are inspiring in your ability to so perfectly balance form/structure and flow in your clothing, along with the balance of detail and simplicity. I also appreciate the way you make black seem modern and fresh.

I'm so ready for a pair of wide leg trousers. Maybe it's time to let go of my moratorium on black trousers (I spent a decade hiding in them). You make them look fab!

Ladies, I can't compare Target US and Target Aus as I have never been to the States but certainly our Target is not bad. I find some of the 'teen' ranges a little cheap (quality wise) but the general stock is good quality. We have a Target range called
"Limited Editions" which is is suppose to be a little more up market. It's quite lovely and very current in the stylings on offer.

Christieanne, I get frustrated because so much happens on YLF when I am sleeping!! I check in, in the mornings and have so much to catch up on

Beth Ann I spent years 'hiding' in black pants too, but thanks to YLF I am feeling very liberated and now wear them because I like them!! You should too

Sarah it sounds like Target US might be similar to our variety store Kmart?? Do you have Kmart? Kmart's clothing range is generally very low quality with a very short life span. The clothing is also very inexpensive. However, in recent times, they have been bringing in items of suprisingly good quality but they are in the minority.

We have a department store here call Myer and Target is owened by the same group and over the years I have found Target quality to be closer to Myer and often with much better service.

Claire, our Kmart is quite good for household type goods. School lunch boxes, kitchen stuff etc.

AJ thank you. I think I paid about $10.00 for the Target top on sale, but thought the shape and colors were so pretty. Turns out it was a good choice

And we will see how strong I am! Its Monday afternoon here and I have just bought a top and a dress at lunch!!! I think this SYC is going to be agony lol.

On the time issue, I so feel the difference. I also miss out on half the fun being halfway between Aussieland and Seattle, So I get Deborah in her evening and YLF sometimes in their morning! But all the fun happens while I am sleeping or doing the evening things like dinner and kids and training. But I would probably just spend MORE time here if it were really interactive so maybe it is for the best!

I am often on YLF with you Australians! As I finish my work day at 11 pm pacific time, you are also getting off work (4pm -- 17 hours difference, correct?).

Your first day of SYC is off to an elegant start Deborah. Your legs look kilometers long too!

Hi Denise, yes I notice we are often online at the same time:). It's 6.45 pm here now. I tend to have YLF open on my desktop at work and I access on my phone too!

Do you have a late start? I'm not sure how I would manage working late into the evening. I suppose you are used to it?
