WIW: colorful pants

Here’s what I’m wearing today. I’m not entirely thrilled with it but the mustard pants are giving me a little visual lift which I appreciate. I think I’ll like them much better with white sneakers and no socks, but it’s quite cold today: booties and knee highs. Any other ideas for improving this? All thoughts welcome.

Wonderful pants, but maybe you would like it better with some more contrast in the outfit. A darker color sweater.

Those are happy pants! I've been seeing yellow paired with black and white, polka dots-stripes, which looks nice. Hot pink is fun with yellow too!

I'm with Adriana. I'm wondering what the ensemble would look like if you used a darker sweater. That might create more cohesiveness by tying the darker footwear into the outfit.

Thanks for these ideas: darker sweater or top (this is easy) and/or lighter shoes (this could work when it’s a little warmer given my footwear choices.)

The color of these pants is really chartreuse (rather than mustard) - quite acidic. I have to think hard about color combos beyond navy, black and grey. Maybe deep pink as suntiger suggested. Maybe Tomato red? I think the right bright top might work too.

I have posted myself in very similar pant ( mine are chartreuse also.).....not too long ago.
I wore a black beaded jacket and black heels. My style is usually a bit too dressy and has too much black for others

I like the idea of a dark sweater - ink blue or burgundy. Or go the other way with white/ivory. The pants are fab and I love the boots.

I like it on you, but unlike the others who suggested a darker sweater, I’d try a darker print shirt underneath for a little more contrast while still keeping this same vibe.

Those pants have a great mood and color lifting feature, isn't it! I agree, white shoes will give the much wanted full trill but a lighter brown, cognac or metallic finish will help further, too. Or, what Janet said above!:-)

Cute pants on you ! I'd go super-simple with a dark sweater to work with the dark boots and some statement-ish jewellery, and your red lipstick. And in spring - white sneaks, white t, bare ankles and a navy blazer.

I have the exact same pants, but I have considered them strictly spring summer pants and haven’t worn them since september. This thread has given me some ideas too, I may wear them sooner than I thought.

anyway, love the pants and think they look great with those boots...but totally agree with advice given about trying a darker sweater

Wow, this is great--what a fun, bold choice! I like the outfit. I agree that cognac booties would be a nice option, as more of a bookend with your hair. I like your ideas of navy and gray with this color. I also like deep purple and denim blue.

Love those pants and want yellow or gold. I wore out a pair of light gold ( not metallic) and liked them with any shade of denim or chambray blue and with greys. A favorite was a white and grey striped Breton top.

I love these pants on you! The tiger shirt is soooo good. I have an earlier version of the Richmond pant in a slightly different yellow (less acid green) and have worn them with a navy and white polka dot shirt and a navy corduroy blazer. The dots are very large so you really see the navy. And white high tops or ankle boots.

I've worn them with red/purple/wine on top too; a strong version as others have suggested.

This is a great outfit on you. I love the tiger shirt in particular - it is so fun. I would wear the tiger shirt and pants with a denim jacket, that way we get to see more of the shirt.
