My thoughts (and I have only skimmed through others)

1) It looks nice on you.
2) This is a good outfit - and in your climate really useful for spring and autumn.
3) I would think it would work with denim, white, grey, even black, and many blues, and some pinks.
4) Since you have it, I would try and make it work. To me it might be something I would wear in the evening when it cools down at a BBQ or at an event?

But I think the lesson here is not to buy too many of these pieces - I have a few tops that are like this - I like them, but they are not my favourite, and they are hard to style.... I am trying not to add too many more as I have plenty of tops in the "pretty top that only works with jeans but not with a layer on top" category. I need more tops that do work with my jackets!!

Ok here is my second attempt to style this cardi. Navy blue modal sleeveless tee, and druzy necklace with gold bits to echo the buttons, plus asymmetrical hem skirt and same sandals with gold hardware.
The necklace is much prettier irl! thanks everyone.

I haven't read all the comments, but I did see your reply that the sleeves are comfy, they're just too tight to look good with layers underneath the sleeves.

I think the color is great on you, and that's a beautiful outfit you put together. I think there are certain garments that have such a high happiness factor, that it doesn't matter if you can only make one outfit out of them, if that one outfit makes you feel like a million bucks!

But what I am thinking is, if you have a brightly colored, dark, or denim pencil skirt, this sweater could hold its own in a rockabilly, bombshell, Rizzo-inspired way.

Or keep everything in this outfit, and swap out the shoes for a second outfit.

Hi, I didn't read all of the other comments so forgive me if I'm repetitive.
- Looks good on you especially color.
- Great outfit at the beginning of the thread. Not crazy about second outfit top you're wearing with it. I love it with the gray skirt but it needs a different top. (sorry)
- Can only be worn with sleeveless tops.
- Try it on with all of your sleeveless tops to see if it inspires more outfits.
- You may need another sleeveless top to get more mileage out of this cardi. I"m thinking some sort of print sleeveless top that has the citron color in it. You could be on the lookout for the next year. The cardi style is classic and will never date.

With sleeveless or short sleeve tops it's quite cute.

I vote keep

Ooh, I LOVE the second outfit! The beads/pendant echo the buttons in a way that makes them look intentional. Very nice.

Yeah, I get what you mean re:a uniform, not everyone has one. But, your style statement/adjectives might function in a similar way (useful to feel put together but if you try to hew too strictly to it, it might feel like a forced persona).

I’m wearing one of my wildcards today: a cobalt blue polyester knife print midi skirt with a print of elephants. Does not at all fit my usual color palette or style concept but I just find it delightful and though it doesn’t have great mix and match potential I enjoy it every time I wear it. Interesting to notice when the happiness factor is clear....

Sarahd8: I would love to see a pic of your elephant skirt!
Cee: Thank you
CocoLion: thank you for your insightful feedback. Do you feel that the second top is too dark? It is definitely navy IRL, but it looks black in the photo. Or is it more that you think the second tee is too plain?

I lobe this outfit! However, I know that I would never reach for a sweater that felt too tight on my arms and didn't even work with t-shirts. It looks fab on you, though.

I would say keep, as it is a springy thing which looks great on you, esp this outfit! But you are the only one who can decide...:-)
