Hello again! Here are the pre- and post-trip outfits (out of town for a week). I have a lot of forum catching up to do! #4-#5 are the same day, with & without layers. Otherwise nothing new to report; I'm just enjoying wearing my current capsule. Thanks to all who take the time to comment; I really appreciate it!

Great skirt in #1. It makes your waist look tiny. Outfit #2 with the polka dot skirt is fab and the white top is very flattering. I also like the cropped pants in #3, 4 and 5.

Lovely as always! My favourites are the polka dots, just because it's so fun, and #8 because of the colour combination (and you look great in that silhouette). So unusual & rich & flattering; it reminds me of oil paintings. I'd love to see the green cardigan with some cream as well as brown, but I don't know if that would work with your colour column preferences.

I love the skirt in #1 and #8. The double buckle detail is lovely on the waist. I think both shirt colours with it are flattering.

#2 is my favourite. I love the polka dots and the white gypsy top. It looks beautifully retro.

#3 and #4 have a fab swashbuckle vibe to them. Particularly with the jacket. I think your hair down adds to the effect too.. I like it!

#5 is a nice casual look .

#6 and #7 are nice feminine looks. I find the green top particularly flattering on you and again I like the double buckle ( a belt this time?) I think it plays up your slim waist.

I like the way the skirt in #1 and #8 shows your amazingly slender waist! The detail at the waist is very nice.
Fun colors in your skirt in #2; the pattern gives energy to the outfit.
It's great to see how you're wearing your capsule!

I was waiting for your comment, E. Thank you for your detailed feedback! I liked the colour pairing in 8 when I wore it, but was afraid it didn't contrast enough to the camera. I think I've done the green cardigan + cream top + brown bottom combo in past WIWs this spring.

That was a goldmine of information to look through, Diane! Thank you very much. The skirt in 1 & 8 is the same; it comes with that faux belt detail. It sold me on pencil skirts & high-waisted ones in particular. I enjoyed my retro day in 2. Ooh, I like swashbuckling. That green top in 7 is one of my favorites, too - such a nice, springy colour and so easy to wear (knit button-front).

You know, that's a great point re: how combinations look in life vs the camera! I actually almost added a disclaimer to that effect, lol.

I agree that these outfits highlight your small waist. My favorite is the polka-dot skirt outfit. The white top is very appealing! I love it in the later outfit too.

The white top was a good buy. It has a way of providing good visual balance for your bottoms.

Is the skirt in #8 the same as #1? I think the top in #8 works just a smidgen better. It may be the column of colour thing...

You wear a tucked top with a skirt and belt so well. That silhouette rarely works for me so I admire it on you!

Yes, it is, Rachylou. I agree that the bright green & bold chestnut aren't the best pairing; I will wear things that don't clash but perhaps don't go, either.

I wish I looked that good in skirt and blouses. This is a supremely flattering silhouette on you. You look great in pants too.
