As promised, here are some catch up outfits from January. This post features my favorite outfit formula this winter - shirt/blouse buttoned up all the way layered under pullover sweater, skinny/straight jeans and booties. I have tried to go for interesting colors and patterns. I also think that most of my new clothing acquisitions during my 7 month absence from YLF are featured here (labeled with an *). My favorite trendy item this season have been tuxedo striped skinnies: I have bough an inexpensive H&M black pair with pewter stripe ( in #3) at the beginning of the season, wore the heck out of them, and snagged the sapphire Rag&Bone version (in #1) in December. I have even bought a similar white/black Rag&Bone pair for spring (called "split skinnies") that I am yet to wear. The other thing I have noticed is that I wore booties (vs. tall boots) 90% of the time. The black Aerosoles ones featured in these outfits are pretty much worn to the ground in a single season and I will need a replacement next fall.
1. My favorite outfit with my favorite skinnies - liked it so much that I wore it 4 times in ~ 2 weeks ( and I rarely repeat a single item in a 2 weeks):
