Luckily I have a few quiet days at work and sometimes an easy outfit is just what is needed.

I found these plaid pants on heavy discount a week ago, and whilst they are more autumnal or even wintery for our climate, I could not resist wearing them because I want to try them out.

First wear was with the blue denim shirt, second with a new red tee (Maple tee from AS Colour, which I already have in black and white)

When I put it on I thought there was a red stripe in the plaid but no, it's yellow, blue and brown.  But I don't think it matters.

The shoes and bag are the same, the hair is in need of a reshape and colour which is happening on Friday.

I am hoping these pants work with my navy and black tops and my brown and black boots for my upcoming trip to the US for work.  Not the most exciting of combinations but a practical one for January.

Wearing two neutrals and a colour, or a two plains and a pattern is my go to - I don't even think about it - and many of my outfits are comprised his way.

Thanks for looking.
