I super duper LOVE this outfit (of course). If you were to change one thing it might be the color of the jeans - I don't even know what to suggest. But probably you shouldn't change a thing. Because that tie with that jacket with those boots are unbelievable. I also love it without the jacket. Amazing.

Fetching? That's a winner for sure! I like the buttoned up collar with the *loose* tie. Don't tell me that tie is your husband's....but then again, he did use the word 'fetching', lol!

WOW! What a great outfit - I absolutely LOVE this!

I also just realized that you are wearing a button down shirt!!! I remember that you used to have a poison eye for them--what changed your mind :)? It looks so fab on you.

Great, outfit, Una! Of course I'm partial to button-downs, buttoned-ups, and gingham, so you've got me with this one for sure : ) Well done!

yay, so glad you are working with those lovely boots! Love the way the blues work together. But shevia has a point -- I'd like to see how it would work with different color jeans.

Shevia and cciele, I wanted to wear jeans, but I wore this to WORK! And even had clients. : ) I figured I was pushing it enough already. Next time I'd much rather do denim, unless you have better suggestions?

Jonesy, I KNOW! I'm suddenly smitten with buttondowns. In fact, I just ordered this shirt from j. crew: in the fresh kiwi color:

I'm blaming it all on Aida and her gingham shirts.

Claire, it's MY tie. I did get my husband a Missoni (Target) tie - he'd never heard of Missoni, but was happy after getting compliments from people in court. This one is a Liberty for Target tie that I just picked up while at Target - I was not really into the Liberty prints but the tie caught my eye.

Heh, sorry I think Shevia and I both had mistaken your gray pants for gray denim!

What do you think about black ponte pants?

I love this look on you! Wow!! Now, what were your questions?? Oh, yes.. . not stuffy! Neck not short. Boots totally work. I love the colors together, the pattern mixing, the gray checked blouse and gray pants, the waist definition of the blazer, the whole edgy attitude of the look.

Fetching is exactly the right word. I love the pattern mix.

Ooh, I love this! You look wonderful.

Yay about the button downs (I'm so glad Aida turned the tide)! I think they will work so well for you with your whole edgy androgynous awesomeness thing you've got going on.
