Kristin posted a link to one of my other posts, showing a gorgeous silk/linen skirt from J Crew with butterflies on. It is paired with a striped tee (#1) I used it as inspiration for today's outfit (#2):
I don't have a pencil, but I have an A-line with butterflies. I don't have silver pumps with pointy toes, but I have pewter strappy sandals. Both are thrifted recently. I have a striped tee, but with narrower stripes than the inspiration. The J Crew outfit probably costs around $600. My version is maybe not as fab, but then it only cost me $70 in total. Stripes are on trend, butterflies are on trend, and strappy sandals are on trend, too, perhaps in a little different version than mine, but they are classic, at least. I think J Crew is modern, but I'm more classic than modern today. (I did change for flats after a while. The sandals are really high heeled.)
