Yesterday, when I pulled the dusty rose and rust items out of my closet, I replaced them mostly with rich jewel tones and navy. The exception was the one, oatmeal tunic. I've held onto this tunic for several years, even though the natural color was blah, I loved the shape and kept insisting I was going to have an embroiderer friend embellish it with some bright and delightful design.

Some of Michelle Dockery's light neutral outfits inspired me to pull this tunic into the mix. I bought these mid gray heathered Ponte pants shortly after I changed my hair and noticed I was leaning towards medium gray instead of charcoal for the first time in probably 15 or more years.

To my delight, I think the oatmeal really works on my new coloring!

Ps. I do in fact own an iron, but I don't particularly care today about my rumpled linen. Just in case you were wondering.
