Wow, this is a splendid look on you! I don't have the build for it - I'm thrilled to see you do it so well! And this is why I've always like bootcuts. It is such a graceful line across the foot. Love your smile!

Gorgeous! LOVE the sleeveless tunic with the flared bottoms, and all the little leather accessories.

(I'm wearing one today with skinnies and ankle boots -- but man, I really gotta get my flares hemmed!)

Alright. I wore a pair of boot cuts for the first time in about 6 years today in your honour. I bought them 2 weeks ago but had been ignoring them. I felt like a middle aged soccer mom and took them off the minute I got home. Why is that? ( I think I didn't style them properly)

Lisa, let's see the outfit! I feel like we can make them work for you

Aida - NO. Lol. I am not putting it back on to photograph. It was a hip length sweater with a poncho and light coloured open back booties. The jeans were too short, and it made it look like I was wearing cowboy boots with them - which for others I know is cool, but not here and not on me. So, I ripped out the hem, which looks good anyways, and will wear the jeans with an asymmetric sweater and funkier black boots. I have to take them into a sharper 70's look and less of a hippy look. It was too late to go back in the house and change when I discovered how short the jeans were - I had to leave or I'd be late. And this is what I was wearing in Kit & Ace which of course is the epitome of everything this outfit was not. Ah - it's good to screw up everyonce in awhile. I learn something:)

When I saw Angie's post about the sleeveless tunics, I thought, "no one is ever going to look good in this." I was very mistaken.

Thanks everyone for your responses and encouragement. Sorry for my own slow response but we have to sleep here sometime.
I am tall but a little shy of 9 feet. It is interesting because this is the first time anyone has said I look tall in a post. That must mean the jeans are very lengthening!
Lisa, as Aida says I am sure you can make them work for you. I have a long torso and shorter legs. Long tops work well for me because they disguise where my torso ends and my legs begin. And I like thigh coverage.
Jenn, you can stalk me anytime. A warning though: I really struggle with summer too. I am going to make a more determined effort this summer.

Lisa I like the second idea you've listed, with the funkier sweater and hems let out and boots (that sounds more you, more glam). Hip-length sweater might be too short for "the look", I think something a little longer or a little shorter would feel best.

Wow! Such a gorgeous look, very long and lean with sleeveless tunic and bootcut jeans, and that very cool, perfectly shaped and sized necklace. And the long shoulder bag. All of these are lengthening features. I actually think the sleeveless aspect adds a lot of length to this look. Just imagine the tunic with long sleeves, for example. You wouldn't have that long vertical stripe (i.e., your bare arm) down the side of your body.

Aaand .....the brandy colour boots are on sale, too. I looked.

Aaand...an extra 25 % off the sale price today. I have been looking too!

Love the sleek boho, with a bit of rocker vibe. Proportions are just right, and the warmth of the cognac bookends your hair and gives the look a bit of richness.
