Today was the first day I did my recent haircut myself. Not wonderful, but I'll get the hang of it. I had 2" off the back and an inch off the sides and layered. (Layering is the bane of fine hair.) It is supposed to be shorter in the back. No new base color, but the stylist added blonder highlights and brown low lights. She said the back of my head is still pretty much solid brown, so I won't be looking more like Helen Mirren any time soon. Still it is a start and I like this color much better than the weird yellowish shade it was turning before.
Today I wore this Alberto Makali sweater I bought about 18 months ago. This was a style departure for me--bought at same time as flowery top. First photo with the BR pale tiger stripe tee. Later I put on the brown camisole I bought to wear with the sweater. Much better. I had my bronze Brahmin cross body bag from last year. Also Kut jeans from last year. First time I have been able to wear them since June 7, and by the time I got home they were all rumpled and sliding downward.
I look pretty washed out outdoors in full sun, but I do look a lot blonder.
I am restraining myself from buying any more beige. On to silver hair!
