Happy Friday from warm but not so sunny Bendigo:)

Im at home mostly today with Master 9 having a 'rest' day before he returns to school this evening for the second performance of the school musical. I did "need" to run out and check out a pair of shoes I found on line yesterday (I bought them but that will be another post). This is not particularly exciting, its a 15 year old dress (used mostly for layering) and a Jacqui E cardigan. I love this cardigan, it is quite structured for a knit and doesn't get worn as much as it used to but it still makes an appearance from time to time. It tends to be a good jacket substitute.

The sandals are cheapies from Target that are probably going to the thrift store. I am just not into this style so much and they hurt

I can see why you love the cardigan - it's beautiful on you. In particular, I love the neckline - square then a slit down; so versatile. And your bag!!! Great combo with the watch. Have fun at the musical!

I am not especially a bag woman but I love you bag! It adds great texture and light to your black outfit, and you look great. Dump the uncomfortable shoes!

Merwoman, thank you:) The neckline is meant to sit back like a regular lapel but for some reason it doesn't want to... so I just go with it...I like that it's a bit different.

Great cardi it's no wonder you hold on to it and add me to those that love that bag.

You don't have to apologize for the dress being 15 years old. Kudos to you for finding ways to wear it for so long.

Too bad about the shoes hurting. I rather like the look of them. But I know what you mean. There's all kinds of sandals I think look gorgeous, but as soon as I get them on my feet, I can hardly wait to get out of them.

The black shoes from your other thread might hit the spot with this outfit, agree about the sandals unless worn with casual pants.

You look so elegant. In principle, this outfit is simplicity itself --- 'old' dress, cardigan, bag and open shoes. But each individual piece has so much character that it all *shines* when put together. Pity the shoes are painful --- I did rather like the look of them, saying 'safari' with the 'wild' bag.
