WIW : Animal print skirt

Hello Fabbers
Wearing all old items from my South African stash. All date back to the 00's. Including the Brazilian sandals and brass bangle. I don't think it looks dated considering animal print, brown, layering tees, big bangles and thong sandals are trending right now. What do you think? Importantly it does feel like me. Honest opinions welcomed as always.

I like it! But of course I am biased to liking clothes from old stashes! I did like some animal print sandals in Finds but I cannot get Boden easily.

Thanks JENNI! Those sandals are cute. A good subtle animal print item. I am fussy about animal print now and prefer subtlety. I probably would not buy this skirt now but I am happy to wear it occassionaly in summer. It has a comfy elasticated waist band which is good for bloated days. I do prefer smaller animal prints (like this one) too. Talking about on myself of course. Some people look incredible in big animal prints. Maybe because my hair is a bit of statement in it's own right.

Though I always like a good animal print, I think it’s your styling that makes the outfit interesting and modern. The layered T’s add texture, while the colour scheme remains harmonious. Well done!

Nothing looks dated to my eye. I like the layered tee's that gives nice visual appeal from the texture. The printed skirt is la fun animal print, and the sandals look like a classic. The way you've combined everything together here is lovely!

Nicely done. Very cool, breezy look. I would not have guessed the age of these pieces, if you hadn't told us. It's amazing that they are two decades old and still looking so good!

Thank you Everyone! The layered tee seems to be a hit. I always like to wear an exposed cami under a shorter tee as I feel most comfortable when my tummy has extra coverage. However, it appears the olive tee has a hole in the from it's last laundry so yesterday was it's last public wearing. I will use it for sleepwear for the rest of the summer and then recycle it.

Dee you identified the safari theme again. It was not intentional but I like the idea. A mix of Refined Safari and Edgy Game Ranger - haha :). I do love a mix of classic and edgy.

Jaime I agree! I did always prefer 90s fashion to 00s so highly probable that that is why my 00s pieces resemble the 90s. I tend to stick with what I like as opposed to focusing that much on trends. Of couse I want to know what is trendy and what is not but still wear my own preferences, whether trendy or not. Like many of us probably...

SUZ I as m really enjoying leaning into an earthy palette. It feels fresh for me and has given a new element to my summer dressing. I didn't realise I had been in a style rut the last few summers.

SHARAN As mentioned above I discovered a hole in the tee and I scuffed the sandals on a lifted pavement tile yesterday! They served me well though.
