We're just finishing up our trip to Portland. Son's surgery went well, and his healing is coming along great without too much pain. I wanted to share some photos.
1) Not worn in Portland, but I wanted to share this outfit because I have struggled with styling this top in the past and almost considered getting rid of it. I think I have finally figured out a winning combination. It was reading about contrast that finally brought me here. I think this is successful for me because the medium contrast is similar to my natural contrast. Using pants similar to the colors of my eyes helps, and also pulling the black from the top into the shoes. I was very pleased with this!
2) I told SoonToBeMr.CS that as a souvenir of our trip, I wanted to find a piece of local hand made jewelry. He found an outdoor market for us to explore this morning, and I found my souvenir earrings.(sterling silver and Canadian jade).
3) The kids wanted to look at Buffalo Exchange, and I picked up this felt rancher hat. I have a similar one in a rust color for the wedding, and I may switch it to this one.
4) Bonus pic of us in the park. I can't believe we came to Portland during an historic heatwave. Glad we're leaving early tomorrow- it's supposed to get up to 113 Fahrenheit!
