I went out on a rainy Sunday to do some "research" (that's it, it's science!) in one of our nicer open-air malls. I like to see what is on offer, provide feedback to you whenever possible and work on one or two of my HEWIs.
Outfit was simple, zip up moto boots, EF poncho and long sleeve white layering tee w/ jeans. I tried another option for shopping, but decided it was too warm. I have this funky, faux fur, cape thingy from Dolce Vita a few years ago that always gets many hug offers, but at the mall, not appropriate. Sorry, no longer available though I found it on Nordstrom site from back when.

#3 Popped into Madewell and I think I found my Winter white sweater (yay!). At BR, I found a fab v-neck, ink, mixed media, high/low pullover sweater with a blousey back to add to my tiny oversized sweater capsule (I have piles of body con, sad face).
#5 Next I bopped into Athleta. Who among us has not loved one of their pieces above all others? I tried on a bunch of white/creamish tops...no dice. On a whim I grabbed some slouchy, floaty track pants to try, and let me tell you, these are the ones to end all! Hear me out. The outer fabric is a silky featherweight stretch poly and they are lined with stretch jersey for warmth. Rib knit waist and ankle cuffs. I can wear them as loungewear at home, as the outer fabric sheds cat hair, or I can go for a run outside and stay warm.  I can throw them on with heels and a nice top and go to work or dinner etc. The drawstring is a nice thin ribbon with little metal ends that hang decoratively, but don't add bulk where it's not wanted.  Too easy...if you're remotely interested in an all purpose warm pant, I highly recommend them. #6 Last stop, Lucky. I don't normally shop there, but they pulled me in with a Triumph display (sucka!) and I had to have this cute tee.  More outfit pics to come featuring the new pieces!
