Hello lovely fabbers. I was so excited today as I was able to wear my new navy silky style skirt, which is really two pieces of fabric. I wore it with a black slip beneath, I was a little concerned about how it would flap about in the wind, but it didn't too much. The weight of the fabric kept it down. The last photo shows kind of how it works.

I wore it with my denim jacket and white boots, plus DS outgrown bomber jacket. The bomber jacket is a bit long for me really, but it was JFE I think. I'm thinking that the skirt will be a spring / summer staple for home; I would love some cool trainers to wear with it. The denim dials the skirt more into casual mode I think.

Then also a waistcoat that I purchased and a new pleated skirt (from fast fashion store Dorothy Perkins - an emergency purchase because I had to stay away for work unexpectedly - but amazingly, no static, well done DP). It will be interesting to see how much I wear the waistcoat - I would like to wear it for work really, but I don't know if it might be too much.

Thank you for looking. All comments welcome! Especially on how else to style the waistcoat and any tips for leggings to wear under the skirt.
