Beautiful set of outfits! Very serene and chic! You make rolled up khakis look elegant (something I've tried to do but never quite achieved :). Everything looks lovely, but I especially love the khakis look, the all-white outfit with the leopard flats, and the plaid pants look!

I am back to the office today, with my first in-person meeting in sooo long! So I am still wearing some of my dressier summer things as we transition back to in-person. Probably evaluate everything in October-ish, as September is usually still pretty hot.

I love your summer style! It looks so comfortable yet stylish. I’d look like a big sweaty sack in these looks but you are much more graceful and slim and carry them off to perfection.

I’m sick of summer and sick of dressing for it. We haven’t been going many places despite things being open (for now) so not a lot of opportunity to dress much anyway.

I am thinking I’d like to do a review and edit soon, even though we still have weeks of hot weather to come. I could get rid of a fair amount of stuff and still have plenty to wear.

What’s working for me? My shorts have been pulling heavy duty this summer. I haven’t been feeling my dresses and skirts as much this year for some reason but I’m not going to be quick to get rid of any that I like because who knows what next year will bring.

With my shorts I’ve also been enjoying my roomy, lightweight white cotton button-front tops — one newer short sleeve gauze one from Faherty and a long sleeve one by Xirena. I think I was tired of my endless wearing of V-neck tees from prior years, although those still come in handy. The tie-front tops I bought at the beginning of the season have come in handy but I probably could have done without the red one. Maybe next year it will get more use. So hard to evaluate when we’re not getting out a lot.

Jonesy, thanks! I don’t usually roll my pants or jeans, not a good look on me. This is more a desperate measure, these jeans are too long on me and I haven’t had a chance to get them hemmed. Should I keep it rolled?

Love 5, love the fun flats!

It’s still too early here to say. The really hot part of the season is in truth early fall here.

You do so much with lovely fabrics and interesting shapes in your outfits. These are just right, as always, with perfect proportions and ease. I am drawn to the interesting sleeves in #2 and all the cute flats. So fun that you got more flats to play with this summer!

This season wide legs dominated my outfits for the first time. Usually I just wear shorts. I like the new "shorter than full length but not quite cropped" look in pants, to my surprise. It works well with sandals. I also got 2 loose tank dresses that worked well. Since we have a long, hot fall where I live, I will try to add variety to my summer clothes by adding light toppers and different footwear. Also on the lookout for a fall crossbody bag.

Your outfits are fantastic, and so inspiring. I especially like 5, 6, and 3. Nice analysis of what worked and what didn't. I'm impressed with your deliberate approach to your wardrobe.

Janet, Jonesy, rachylou, ChristelJ, Firecracker, thank you all so much.
I’m trying to wear as much of my summer clothes as possible, this is my favorite season and it is so short.

Irina, to my eye, the rolling looks really good! It adds a bit of texture (especially with this color of pants, it reminds me of a brown paper bag--see inspiration photograph by Philip Holt, below) and interest in an otherwise pretty minimalist outfit. And with your chic flats, it looks very intentional and charming.

Agreeing with Jonesy - yes to rolling for #2. A bit of texture, a bit of architectural interest.

Think my fave is pic 5- lovely top, interesting plaid pants and gorgeous red flats. Second I love the olive top in pic 6, could you try the pants from pic 4 with that outfit?
I also like the rolled pants and the black flats.

You have such an elegant, cohesive style.

Not evaluating summer here because it’s winter but I am thinking ahead to summer because it’s the season that I struggle most with.

Like Brooklyn, I am evaluating my end of winter clothing and have realised with my working from home lifestyle, for winter, my gear, jeans, sweaters and ankle boots have got the most wear. Yes, I still wear dresses and skirts, but not as much as when I was in a formal office environment. I have not had any heating on to stay warm - so my clothing needs to be reasonably heavy and provide coverage.

I was asked to speak at a conference and had the opportunity to dress up and loved wearing my dress, jacket and pumps (in finds) - but this is a rare occurrence and so I have not added dressy pieces like this to my wardrobe and won't look to do so in the future.

Looking to summer, I can see that I will wear summer dresses and blouses, but also with a more casual vibe. I have decided to also get into wearing shorts again, because they are so practical for my lifestyle.

Am mesmerised of your casual look in nr 3 &the all textured look in nr 5 but surelly love all!!
