Thanks for the feedback all, and for the lovely compliments on my figure (and Kate Winslet, Dianthus?! Such a sweet thing to say). All I saw were flaws before I came here and I'm beginning to see good parts - and how to dress them - with all your help. There's also something pretty magical about seeing myself in photos. I am able to be more objective than when I look in the mirror. So, another life changed by YLF - thanks Angie!
Thanks for the suggestion to take in the skirt, Inge. When I put it on I was going for a sillhouette like this one in #5 http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....hoto-heavy (sorry to post the whole link, I'm away from the computer with just that one photo), and it was working pretty well - until I sat down and the skirt stretched out, so maybe taking it in will help it keep the shape I'm going for. That outfit in #5 is what many people are suggesting with that sweater, too.
Annagybe, Hubalicious actually pointed out that the camera angle in some of the photos is unflattering. I used to put it on a counter, which he pointed out makes my hips look larger because it's so low and it's not how people actually see my body (unless they're 3 1/2 ft tall). Since I've been taking them with my phone at a higher angle, my body looks quite a bit different - so your confusion was justified.
