(Not urgent: sorry, Angie, if you are able to move this to WIW, I’d be grateful)

There’s nothing super-special about this outfit—silk top, jeans, and ballet flats—but I wanted to share the alteration I had done on the top.

I bought two of these Tolani tunics last year, and they turned out to be longer than expected, both long enough to wear as dresses. They also both had the same flaw that resulted in the thin silk tearing at the seam along the seat.

I love wearing the black one as a dress, so I had that one repaired and reinforced. I didn’t like the shape of this burgundy one as much, so I decided to have it shortened to just above where the damage started. The tailor did a great job, hemming it at an angle so it’s longer in back and shorter in front. I feel like I have a brand new blouse in my wardrobe!
