Just a little WIW yesterday to grocery shop. I wore my slightly too big utility jacket (I may try to shrink it a little), with old Lucky straight leg jeans, and very old blue Cole Haan oxfords (are they too classic for me? Maybe but they are super comfortable and I still like them). I didn’t get a photo without the jacket, but the white long-sleeve tee underneath is a new purchase from Anthro — a Henley-ish neckline and notched sleeves give it a bit more personality than a basic tee.

The scarf is a new purchase that I got in my head and couldn’t let go of. I was looking for a scarf that integrated pale blue with some white and didn’t look dark or wintry, but still grounded with a bit of black. I discovered this Alexander McQueen design and fell in love. After poking around online, I made an offer to a Poshmark seller, and she accepted it! So it’s now mine, and it’s exactly what I wanted. I can wear it into the warmer spring months without feeling too warm, and it goes with my wardrobe perfectly.

Bonus randomness: I took my husband’s advice and got away for a couple of days for a lovely socially-distanced getaway to the eastern shore. It’s less than two hours drive to this beautiful area but somehow I’d never visited Lewes or Cape Henlopen state park before. I’ll definitely return! I stayed at a nearby motel that has excellent Covid cleaning and distancing practices, and I employed my own strategies for staying safe and distanced. On my way out, I got the chance to have lunch with the mom of one of my dearest life-long friends, who passed away last year — suffice to say “mom” was so happy to see me and we had a wonderful reunion.

I was lucky enough to have great weather. I didn’t take many photos with my “real” camera but I did use my iPhone, and I enjoyed lots of hiking and beach walking and beachcombing.
