Hi Ladies, Just saw the very good new that the second suspect in the Boston bombings has been apprehended. Boston fabbers you must be so relieved. It's Saturday here, my boys are back from camping (did I tell you my DH hates camping lol) and I have running around to do for my MIL. It's sunny but cool and windy so skinny jeans, oversized green sweater and new flat black boots. Didn't feel like a jacket so pulled out my very old 'poncho'. I have seen some around and am wondering if they are 'back in'? At any rate I love the drape and the asymmetric look so it has been welcomed back into my wardrobe. Hi Deborah, I think this is a great casual outfit. The green is a lovely colour on you and I don't think it matters if ponchos are in or out. You make it look fab!

I saw ponchos or near ponchos at last years NAS. It doesn't really matter if they are "in" because you wear them so well. Lovely ring too.

Deborah, I LOVE this poncho, this look, everything. Fab fab fab. Soo great and so what I want to wear (for me personally this is timeless item, I think it's dramatic but not overwhelming... ), but never found the right one. Is your woven or knitted?

p.s.
I just saw your question about being 'in', I started typing before I read the whole post. I'll play devil's advocate and say it's 'out' and if you want to free up the space I'll take it off you
But, in all honestly, you should keep it and enjoy it, it is very very you and I really don't care about in and out with stuff like this. You wear it in a way that it shows its dramatic lines and drape, rather than it being a cover-up/outerwear IYKWIM.

Ornella, this is a knitted item (kind of a cable knit) and it must be about 7 years old. I remember wearing it over my bootcut jeans while taking Master 10 at 3 years of age to Mainly Music:)

I like the poncho very much Deborah. Your whole outfit is relxed, casual yet put together. BTW I'm with your DH re-camping; you would have to drag me kicking and screaming int a tent lol! I need a bed off the ground, floor boards under foot and a flush toilet in the next room if I'm going on holiday! Hve a good day Deborah, YLF.

Diane, that's exactly how I feel about camping. Thankfully it was a dad and son event DH came home exhausted, had to attend a full day seminar and has now just gone to bed (it's 7.30 p.m. here now) and is just a little, shall we say, grumpy lol

It must feel great to put on layers again! Love the new boots + skinnies. Ponchos and capes were really big in 2011, I got two then. I've kept one of mine as I still love it. It could be they are coming back (if they ever went away) for 2013.
