Interesting comments on Vionic, Joy. I am definitely going to keep an eye on it. I was also interested in one Angie put on her NAS top finds list (shown below) but it does not come in the caramel/camel color that I want.

sally - hah "loafer envy" that's a good one! I literally threw on the scarf and wrapped it around once without paying much attention. I guess I need to keep doing that!

jamc, yes it sure did get cooler! we met friends for dinner that same day at a local pizza place and ate outdoors, and they cranked up the portable propane heaters and the fire pit - for the first time this fall I think.

Jaileen, thanks, and you have had colder temps than we have as fall begins. So far mid-40s is as low as it's gotten here and that was the last few mornings.

Love…special love for the loafers—shiny patent leather and a lug sole. I was actually just looking at these loafers this morning, wondering if i should get them in navy.

Perfect and love olive with black-love the loafers--but should add, all my dark loafers are patent-or have some patent in them:-)-for interest and added shine(rather than accent)!
