WIW 8/6: With new blue bag

Yesterday my hubby had to work, so I planned out all my outfits for what looks like it's going to be a very warm week! I also made a quick trip through Marshall's and found this fab blue satchel, which plugged a wardrobe hole I've had for quite some time!

The non-matching blues in this outfit may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they pick up the blues in the top and I am happy with it!

Tan pencil skirt: Halogen

I love you in shades of coral, Mary. They make your pretty blue eyes sparkle even more brightly.

Angie's right. Instead of there's something about Mary, it's there's something about Mary in coral. Add the touches of blue and it's a lovely combination.

Vicki and Angie, isn't it funny? I never thought I could wear orange in any version, and it turns out coral is one of my best colors (even in shoes!)! Who knew? (And now you're making me think I need to do this outfit with my coral blazer next time!)

This makes me think of one of those aspirational outfit ensembles they would put together (usually not on a model) for a magazine like Elle or In Style for how to dress for a specific occasion (like business bombshell in this case). Perfect.

Love this outfit on you, the coral in the top looks great with the coral in the shoes. I enjoy your post so much. I have the same skirts and it helps me style mine.. Just got a new computer after mine died several months ago and now can see so much more. You look so pretty.

To me this is more tonal than matchy. And I love mixing shades of the same color (tonal), which I believe is a legit trend right now along with matchy!

This very conservative colour mixer thinks you can combine almost any two colours when you have a print to tie them together. And blues are among the most willing to play happily with each other anyway.

LOVE--perfect look!! That jacket color is beautiful on you, and I love the orange shoes! Your new bag is fabulous too--I'll bet you'll get a lot of use out of that baby. The khaki skirt works really well here too, sort of grounding everything and making it summery.
