WIW 8/21, (mostly) per plan: Navy and orange!

I decided to change out the button-front shirt I'd planned for today for a tee, and added the scarf to tie in the orange jacket a little more. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Navy polka-dot skirt: consignment
Navy tee: Caslon
Orange blazer: F21
Floral scarf: H&M
Orange slice bag: Kate Spade via the Rack
Navy patent pumps: Madden Girl

I love the effect of the colours, textures and patterns in #2! Just so "Mary", which makes me smile

I'm not sure if this is the case, but do you think that the side seams on the skirt need tapering? Or is the skirt supposed to be A-line. Let me know what you think, Mary.

Angie, you busted me! I was looking at the photo and I do indeed think this skirt is a little big all around It's not quite a pencil and not quite an a-line, and also it seems a little long to me.

But I love the dots!!!

Funny, I was wondering about the skirt's shape, too. Glad Angie asked. I think it's definitely worth alteration. Such a nifty textural effect on it.

I love the mixing of the navy patterns and textures, and topping it off with that orange jacket is smashing. I'd have trouble carrying that bag-- probably too much of a statement for my introverted personality-- but I'd wear the rest in a heartbeat. Great outfit!

It's gorgeous! I love the happy, energetic interplay of color and pattern :)! I think the skirt would be even more fab if you tapered it, per Angie's suggestion, but it certainly looks good the way it is.
