Here is the outfit I wore to work today, inspired by the Utility Pretty blog post. I call it sort of, as my slim olive zippered pants (J.Crew) are technically not utility pants and are a little dressier, so the juxtaposition is not as fun as it would have been with real utility pants. I have a a real pair of olive utility pants from J. Crew on order (shown in Finds), and hope they will fit well and be a base for many utility looks. My old and beloved pair of utility pants is this sage-y green by Rag &Bone (also in Finds), but they are 5-pocket style and thus I wasn't certain if they were too close to jeans for work and erred on the safe side.
For today's outfit, I combined the olive pants with loose black Madewell blouse, my trusty black & white wedges, silver watch, silver bag and big sunglasses. I also had on a silk b&w neckerchief, but I removed it when I got home and forgot to put it back on for the photo.
