WIW 7/13 and 7/14: B&W copycats

1/2. I went to the theatre last night to the opening of a very fun play -- Buyer and Cellar, about a fictional guy who works in Barbra Streisand's real-life shopping-mall-in-her-basement. It was a blast! I felt like my copycat was missing something (since my skirt is plain, not textured) so I added the denim vest and felt dressy-casual fab. And I am virtually certain I was the only person in the opening-night crowd who was wearing a rash guard as a top!

2/3: I've been wanting to try this outfit for a while and the weather finally cooperated today. I must admit I changed out the colorblock tote for a black one on my way out the door for work -- it just seemed A Little Much with the black and white shoes. But the happiness factor for this outfit is sky-high. I feel like it says "Let's go play golf in the 1930s!" LOL

Ahh - so cute! I still can't get over that the striped top is a rashguard! Such a clever way to multi-task a top. LOL. I love the 2nd outfit even more than the first - but, your pose for the first outfit brought me to stitches! - I think you did pretty good Mary! How in the heck do those models come up with those different poses, anyway????

LOL, Marley! You should see the outtakes from the first copycat photo! The supermodels are not losing any sleep, believe me!

Anna, for some reason the inspiration photo for #3 made me think of you. Probably because it's a Chloe outfit.

Sterling, the photo thing couldn't be easier. I use MS Publisher. Paste the two photos into a Publisher document, then save it as a JPEG. Then crop the JPEG to get rid of any unwanted extra white space, and voila! (You can do it in PowerPoint, too.) *waving at Aida, from whom I learned this trick*

Thanks Ms.Mary. I have powerpoint!!! I will give it a try this weekend.

Just make the slide the way you want it, click "save as," choose "JPEG" for "file type," and then choose "current slide only" and you should be good to go! And as I said above, don't worry about leaving extra white space on your slide because once you've saved it as a JPEG you can crop it to fit the photos. BIG FUN!!
