WIW 7-7 to 7-9 with YLF Store Item

Hi,

Here are 3 outfits from the past week including one with a YLF store purchase. I have no willpower and although NAS is right around the corner, two of these tops are recent Express purchases I was unable to resist.

I never would have noticed this top if Angie had not placed it in the YLF store. I especially like that the ruffles are flat and the top is not too clingy.

I'm sure this outfit would fit in with the art challenge from a while back. If I knew art well enough to match up a painting with these colors.

#1 those are a great pair of jeans, they look like premium denim, love the top! A few accessories with some pop of color would be nice!

Wow! Lisa - you look FAB. I just love you in those ruffle-y sleeveless tops. You see! Good structured shoulder and you rock the look.

Yay for the skirt adjustment! Are you losing weight like crazy or is it just your dressing style? In any case looking good.

P.S. I think the skinnies could be longer but it's not a deal-breaker.

Carole-I have ZERO sewing skills of any kind. I've tried a couple of tailors in my area and found one I am in LOVE with. The waist work was all them. Thanks for the accessories idea!

Angie-Thanks for taking some time during this busy weekend to provide feedback. I have learned SO much from YLF already and it is making a huge difference. I think I am starting to learn about dressing a pear shape a bit better.

Scarlet-Losing weight? You just made my DAY, thank you! Unfortunately I've put on some pounds, not lost. Too much family stress interfering with my exercise routine. I think it's been all fit of the clothes that's made the difference. I can't wait to see how clothes look once I'm back at my "regular" weight.

Joy-Yes I recommend Express. I haven't been in their stores in years. But the past few weeks, I've found some real gems in their stores.

Reneeb-Yes I love the Gap always skinny jeans. I've had them for almost a year now and they have been worn and washed QUITE a few times. The material still looks good and they are very, very comfortable. They do bag a little with wear.
But not nearly to the extent that my Express jeans do. The Express jeans get pretty loose by the end of the day, almost so much as to be embarrassing. But they are also quite old and they ARE worn out by now. Needless to say, new jeans are on my fall shopping list.

I like your ruffled tops on you. Watercolor one is gorgeous and polka dot is great too. Out of the 3 I like the green the least but I cannot say why. Maybe because I am still adjusting to the skinny look?:-) Also it looks looser on the sides but as fitted style...I do not know if I am making sense here - kind of it should be fitted but too big.
I am also on the fence with the white jacket in the first outfit as well and again do not know why. I know it is not much help, sorry Maybe adding another white item will help?

My favourite single piece is the watercolour top too but complete outfit is number 1.

I always order mine from there and pay under $100 a pair for premium demin- and I find such a difference between my premium denim jeans and cheaper jeans in terms of how much they bag and stretch. I have a pair of Paige Premium jeans that I bought in 2006 that still look fantastic despite very regular wear since I bought them

Lisa - love the tops on you. I personally like my skinnies a little bit scrunched at the bottom w/flats but yours works too. Really also llike your shoes.

Sveta-I tried the green top the next size down, and it fit the same, except it was shorter in the length. It doesn't strike me to be a form fitting top. I've been wondering about the fit in the white jacket. If I unroll the sleeves, it's past my knuckles. I have been trying to decide if that's the jacket's style or if the size was too big for me. (although it is the XS so...?) I recently purchased another white jacket in a different style and brand that I plan to post an outfit of soon. Let me know if you think that dot top works better with the newer jacket when I post? Thanks!

Sihaya-Thanks, I'm still learning how "scrunched" skinnies should look with flats. I am hoping some fellow YLFers will post photos soon for examples I can look at.

Lisa, I looked at these pics over the weekend but was unable to comment on them. I thought immediately, wow! Your style has completely skyrocketed!!

I love the outfits. You look terrific. Thinking back, as much as I love argyle, these outfits do make you look much slimmer than the short sweater and jeans with sneakers.
