WIW 6-140 - Baggy AND White... and old shoes.

Dang these pants are bagging around my crotch too. I'm a bit afraid of getting them tailored for my "new" waist, because who knows what the future will hold, but *something's* gotta give.

These shoes are over 10 years old. They appeared in the very first issue of Lucky and *I had to have them.* And here they are.

- Tysa voile shirt
- James Perse long white tank
- Rag and Bone trouser jeans
- Nancy Nancy flower pumps

Dana I love your laid-back, edgy style. It just seems to suit you so well. Laid-back, edgy might seem be an oxymoron, but to me it describes what I see in your style.

Those are fun shoes for sure! And florals have come back around in footwear so they could be in this issue of Lucky.
To tailor or not to tailor? I suppose the long tanks will hide any looseness until you decide. You are looking great in the meantime!

I like this tunic and slim jeans look on you. Not sure about the shoes though. I know floral footwear is in but the shape of these seems kind of dated.

I love the shoe story and actually the whole outfit! Sorry about the baggy pant problem. It's a good problem to have, but inconvenient for sure. I think the shoes are fun!

MG - I guess I don't care so much about dated. I also love softened square toes, so these are a keeper even when round and pointed sneak their way back into the magazines.

Maybe my entire look is super dated and I don't know it. Oh well.

I never cared about being trendy or current but then after a time it became apparent that styles had just moved on.... it was a shocking, sad, painful and expensive. I guess that's why I started posting here. I couldn't see it for myself. I needed the help of others to weed out things that didn't work anymore. What do you hope to get out of posting here?

AG - *shrugs* I work with a bunch of boys! Its nice to talk about clothing with someone who cares. But I've never worried about being trendy, just about being true to myself.

Does 10 years old count as vintage? 'cause I seriously LOVE these shoes and I'm into vintage....hmmmm....that makes me wonder, what age really DOES constitute vintage?

anyway....love the shoes and the shirt looks like something I'd want to live in (a.k.a. very comfy). Sorry to hear about your sagging crotch (whoops...doesn't sound good when I put it like that! lol)
