What a great photo, Aubergine! I love the energy and enthusiasm. And Janet, you look fantastic. I think everyone looks great in gear, because there is something really joyful and fun and liberating about moving your body and using it in the way it was designed and that spills over into how you look.

I can't wait to be active enough (that I am considered an "active member") to see the pics!

You are all delightfully fit and gorgeous! I have to say I prefer my cycling shorts because of the padded butt -- I finally have one and that's a treat. I keep expecting my cycling to create a booty I could be proud of, but alas, it's not happening. Sure promotes strong thighs, though. Keep on keepin' on you
Women of Steel, you're looking good!

Mary, just today I was wishing for some knee-length exercise pants. I can only find them in the print you show--are they phasing them out, or are they sold out for the season? I'd love some solid black or charcoal ones!

What a sport! Great thread. You all look so full of energy. My long term plan is to do sports regularly. For now I just go for a walk with a friend. Usually it last for 60-90 minutes and we do get a bit out of breath

Sharon, I love you in that shade of turquoise blue! You really look strong and fit.

Phatgranny, that's so funny! One of my friends who started running a few years ago is thrilled to report that running has transformed her butt into "high and tight!" LOL But another of my friends was out shopping with me last year and saw me try on a dress, and she said, "You have literally run your butt off." Well, I never did have much of one to begin with -- too bad I can't just push some of that excess saddlebag padding around to the back!

It's interesting that the same form of exercise can transform two different people's bodies in very different ways. Just goes to show you all that "spot training" stuff is BS.

Bike shorts are so uncomfortable when I'm not on a bike -- I can't get over that "I'm wearing a gigantic maxi pad" feeling.

If I looked like you ladies I'd post too. I just rejoined the gym after a too long break (kids). I have cobbled together some gear from the Rack and TJ Maxx, but nothing half as coordinated as MaryK. I figure once I've accomplished a bit I'll reward myself with nicer workout wear. I am still not ready to full out bodycon even if it is at the gym.

Jjsloane, congrats on getting back to the gym! I don't like body con bottoms either, and only make an exception for bike shorts. I have both calf length and ankle length work out pants from Zella that have a looser fit, but all the technical features of the tighter versions. They last forever if you take care of them, so eventually the CPW is not an issue.

Loving these gear shots! You all look amazing -- strong, fit, and ready for action.

I don't have any pictures of me in my summer gear-wear or gym stuff right now, but here are some wintery shots. And it snowed yesterday where I am -- i.e. it is still winter here!

Pic 1: Running gear (autumn - I posted this already back in a regular WIW thread).

Pic 2: Goofing around with my daughter after a run.

Pic 3: Skating this winter at the Ottawa canal.

Pic 4: Here in Banff last week with one of the fellow participants. Check this out -- he is in his 70s and he walked all the way up the mountain with a bunch of the young ones! (He's a good poet, too.)

Suz, I want to skate at the Ottowa canal -- that looks like so much fun! And I want to go back to Banff... You all look fab.

Everyone looks great! Aubergine, that is such a fun picture.

OK, here we go! I'm almost ready to ride. Just add bike helmet and gloves. And bike of course. Yes, even with a padded butt, I do not have a booty! And that's OK. It's going to reach 80 here today, so sleeveless singlet and short (for me) shorts are the way to go. Forty-plus miles, here I come!

Way to go, Janet - and you look amazing in that biking outfit. I am shaking my head about your frequent knee and leg comments. Honestly -- you have nothing to fear.

Good grief! You ladies all look awesome! I clearly need to get off my (flat, droopy) butt and get moving. Sadly all I possess is one pair of yoga type pants and a sports bra that hardly ever get worn.

You look so great in your gear, Suz! I really love those sunglasses on you.

Your waist is so small, Janet. You look wonderful!

Janet, loving the bike outfit!!

Suz, the cold-weather gear looks fab!

Adelfa, I got several pair of the black Born to Run knickers on eBay. Just save a search and it'll email you when a listing shows up.

And keep those gear photos coming, ladies!!

And yes, 90% of my gear is in shades of black, blue and turquoise.

You ladies all look so fab in your gear! I can't believe I'm posting this, but I was wearing gear when I saw this thread so I took a picture. Just doing some pilates at home, I'm not going outside in this... I really need some new gymnastic slippers, I might get black ones next (white ones always look awful) - these are left from my schooldays, actually. Wearing a normal tee and leggings I use to layer with in winter, I don't have any fancy gear clothes at all.

Cute, Astrid! Do you have a Pilates video or do you do your own thing?

Thanks. No video, I'm only doing what we've also done in class and I just do what I feel like when it comes to frequency and length.

I love this thread! Here's mine.

Clogs not part out of the outfit - I just threw them on to walk down the street to the yoga studio.

You all look so fab!

And Fern! I love your kitchen! You have all the same finishes I am planning to have when I get my new home!

Yay- I'm so happy to see everybody's workout pictures and gear! I think it's super that so many of you are active and keeping in shape!

Here's mine, ready to walk a lot, jog a little on our local greenway trail- complete with no makeup and frizzed out hair- not glamorous, for sure.

No wonder you're all so healthy and gorgeous. Gear has come a long way from what my mom used to wear to run. Hooray for cute gear!
Here's my roadrunning getup.

Here's what I wore to Zumba this morning. I love starting my Monday with some bumping and grinding. Sets the tone for the week!

Funny husband comment: "That skirt looks like you were painting a house, and paint dripped all over you." Men!
