WIW 4/9 and 4/10.....What can I say? I love neutrals!

So, here are a couple of WIW's from this week. I feel decidedly low-key compared to the blossoming spring colors here on YLF, but neutrals are just my groove.

#1 - Rainy day and I was running late, so I grabbed my white skinnies, a JCrew perfect fit black button shirt, my Cole Haan buff loafers (my one and only NAS purchase last summer), and some cool wooden beads my sister gifted me. Felt pretty good for a last-minute outfit!

#2 - Finally wore my new print AT skirt...and loved it! It has a little stretch, which makes it so comfortable. I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of it this summer. Also wearing a 3 Dots 3/4 sleeve tee and my Frye Cindy slouch boots. Note the small peep of color in the yellow necklace! I had trouble accessorizing this look. Every necklace I own seemed "wrong" somehow....grrrr.

Well, I'm mostly a neutrals gal so I might be a bit biased, but I think both of these outfits are really great. Black and white is such a classic combo and you've accessorized it so well. I probably would have worn black shoes by lack of creative thinking, but the buff loafers are PERFECT! Hmmm...I have white skinnies...and neutral loafers.... That AT skirt is really great and those Frye boots are awesome. I like Aida's idea of a long pendant or necklace with it.

Please don't apologize for neutrals! I often struggle feeling like colors are too "cute" or attention grabbing. Really, though, we all do best when we are our best selves! You look easy and sophisticated in these looks. Both pairs of shoes are exceptional, quality pieces. I like the necklace in #1 -- the scale of this piece is perfect for you!

I have to say that is an awesome outfit for something you put together in such a short time. I guess that's what YLF does for our closets! You look fab.

Outfit #2 is just gorgeous as well. Lovely skirt and I find the simple styling here with minimum of accessories really attractive.
