WIW 4-25 - Civil War trou, to roll or unroll?

I call these my Civil War pants because the fly crosses over. For some reason I think pants were like this in the 1800s? Anyway, it does look a bit weirdo if the pleats don't fall in the right place, but I'm swinging with it. I would not recommend these pants for anyone with hips, but since I don't have any I think it's marginally OK.

The question is, to roll up or not?

I vote for roll. That seems to creat a little more leg volume and make the whole look relaxed. Fun pants!

I like those pants, and surely couldn't wear them with my hips.

Another vote for rolled.

I tried on some pants with this kind of waistband once. They actually looked good on me (pear) but they were SO HARD to get on and off over my hips since they had no fly, just the foldover thingy. Since I didn't want to have to do yoga every time I went to the bathroom, I sent them back!

Love the roll! I know a tuck is too much to ask, but I'd love to see the crossover closure - I go nuts for stuff like that!

Una, I'm sorry, I have to admit I don't love NoMoreMom jeans. She can totally be funny but the Bloggess (http://thebloggess.com/) did it first and to my mind, better. And I would TOTALLY wear a lot of the stuff NMMJ hates. So nuts to her, and here's to my weird man-fly!

Those are weirdly cool! I like them unrolled just a little bit better, but rolling would be nice with a more open shoe.

FUN pants! I guess I am in the (serious) minority that I prefer them unrolled. I LOVE those white/cream/light sandal boots, and they work beautifully here!
