WIW 3/8 and 3/9: Dots, stripes, squash, denim and orange!

1. Thursday I wore my new AT Loft striped blazer, recommended by Angie, with a thrifted Ralph Lauren dotted top, Halogen purple magenta pencil skirt, and my nude Seychelles booties. Was pretty happy with this! Oh, and I added the Missoni for Target scarf to my Franco Lucca brown tote, just for fun!

2. Friday was a super busy day at work so I just tossed on the magic Nine West dress with the "squash bag" from eBay and Jessica Simpson purple patent pumps.

3. Friday night I went out to dinner with my Marine and a couple of friends, and decided to try out Angie's "column of denim" look with Levi's, Target chambray shirt, Forever 21 new orange blazer (waving at Kellygirl!), Franco Sarto nude sandals from last year, and my new Kate Spade orange slice tote. I was pretty pleased with this look!

#1 is a GREAT outfit. Very flattering proportions --- you make it look effortless, but there's so much scope to go wrong with pattern mixing, colour blocking *and* petite proportions that I remain in awe. And of course the prints and purple are a very fun mix!

#2, the magic dress, is just plain MAGICAL! (I can't seem to move on from it!)

And nude booties.*sigh* Love the magic dress and I expected to see a squash racquet sticking out of your bag until I saw it.....OH. I get it! #2 that dress is magic, it must be wonderful thing to have in the closet on particular days
#3 I like best with the jacket open. The orange is so sunny. I also wonder how it would look if the column of denim was more similar in color?

I love them all! The orange is #3 is so bright and awesome! I also love the polka-stripe mix in #1! Also, I think I need to be on the hunt for a 'magic' dress too - yours is the BOMB

1) I just LUV the color and print mix in this outfit!! Plus the fact that you use your purse to add more color and print is pure genius!!

2) Do you have 2 magic dresses? I thought I remembered a different print.

3) Citrus fun! I like the jacket open better. No popped collar?

You look amazing as always. I am blown away by #1. I tried out my striped jacket this week too, but not nearly as well as you! Like #3 with open jacket. Love that orange jacket.

Great outfits! My favorite is number 1 as I always adore stripes and I love the colour combi. I like 3 with the jacket open. The colourful dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you!

LOVE all the outfits. #1 is just plain awesome with the polkadots, striped blazer (fab) and that skirt!!! The booties are way cute also. #2 is very pretty also. #3 wowed me. You have the column of denim formula down pat! Great look and I love the cute orange blazer!

I ADORE the dots and stripes - so happy together! That Nine West dress looks terrific on you...I'm actively seeking a dress that actually looks good on me and am finding it to be nearly impossible so I'm especially drawn to everyone's dress pictures (particularly ones with sleeves!). And that orange blazer is just so cheerful and happy. Are those new Levi's? My favorite is #1 but you look great in all of these.

I don't think I've ever mentioned that you are my role model for fearlessly embracing color! These are all fab, but I am head over heels about #3! I think blue and orange are a match made in heaven. That orange blazer is so darn cheery it makes me smile, and I still can't believe you stumbled onto that orange slice bag at such a great price. Can you feel the bag envy?
