WIW 3-31 and 4-1 - is it hot here, or is it just you?

Over 90 degrees this weekend, so I busted out the summer gear. These pics illustrate the main reason I hate really hot weather: I always feel so out of shape! The pressure to be hairless, dry, clear-skinned, and fatless is so overwhelming because *everything is on display*! Anyway.

3-31
- Inhabit white tank, which turned out a bit too sheer (pic 1) so I put a white Inhabit cardigan-turned-into-a-vest top over (#2)
- DKNY Pure gray layered skirt
- Vera Wang Lavendar sandals
- Custom necklace (CU in #3); I really love Jill Platner's designs but just cannot afford them, so I asked one of my favorite etsy sellers to make me a silver platter pendant so I could fake it.

4-1
- Twinkle by Wenlan patterned empire top (one of the very very few colored summer tops I own)
- Rogan linen-denim skirt
- flops
Really pretty sure this is not a flattering look on me, even though the top is very pretty. Empires just make me look pregnant, but the skirt length isn't helping. Shorter might be better.

Wow. 90 degrees. I totally get why you lust for cashmere and wear a lot of white. A girl has got to be allowed her dreams, even while bowing to reality. Sheesh.

You and Una should start an "opposites" club.

Anyway...with all that said, I really like #2. Those are very cool sandals. The necklace is also wonderfully strong and simple.

The colour of that top in #4 is gorgeous! And I think the shape is nice on you; you don't look pregnant in the pics. Maybe just different footwear?

I think you are going to be my hot dressing role model. It is not that hot here yet, but it will be soon enough. I love #2 and generally your entire white top collection. I love the colors in the blue top, and it doesn't make you bit the least bit pregnant, but it is not your usual style, and maybe that is bothering you. I would wear it try it with long shorts if you do that.

oh yes, the challenge of hot weather dressing! i rather like the bright tunic and adore that necklace. I am not familiar with Jill Platner but intend to be soon.... well via photos at least!

I like #2 the best with the sandals, and I agree that the last outfit would look better with different shoes. I like the top and don't think you look pregnant at all but get your concerns as I feel the same way with empire waists.

I love both outfits and am inspired. I live in a hot climate too and hate summer dressing. It's so monotonous. ZZZZZZZzzzz.

It was so hot yesterday! But you look breezy and stylish. I like outfit 1 a lot, and I don't think the second top is very unflattering on you. I agree that a shorter length might be a little better.
