I am so sorry about your ankle and glad you have support as you mend.

Complications from fractured ankle surgery caused me to spend a total of 15 weeks in the Frankenboot this year, much of it completely non-weight bearing. Challenging, but somehow doable.

You can kept your style groove going, while simultaneously making recovery a priority. I loved how my clunky Brooks Addiction sneakers matched the boot sole height once I was weight bearing. Give yourself a pass to start with foot comfort and work the rest of your outfit around it. It will help keep things moving forward. Once you are transitioning out of the boot, it may help to wear your supportive sneakers with cushioning soles. Fortunately for all of us, footwear options for such mishaps have never been better.

Wishing you a smooth recovery, much comfort and any patience you might need. As always, you look fab!

Oh no, MsMary - it was bad enough when you thought it was "just" a sprain

I admire you for still looking fab in spite of the situation. The teal, coral and toffee combination is very flattering with your colouring, and I love the way your scarf pulls everything together.

(Also, reading "das Boot" in your title, my first thought was that you were filling your recovery time by watching very very long German films.)

Wishing you the speediest possible recovery.

Oh no wishing you a speedy recovery x You're doing a great job of still being stylish, never let 'das boot' get you down x

I love the colour combination of your outfit. The scarf pulls it all together. I hope your ankle heals quickly. Great idea about the thicker sole. I am going to try that for myself for different reasons.

So sorry about your injury. Your colors are still showing. I hope you find the happy shoe to match for your comfort and style.

I'm so sorry, Mary-(((( Your style quotient is, of course, not affected in the least by the "new boot", but please take it easy! I hope your ankle heals as fast as possible, and in the meantime it's good to know that New Guy is pampering you extra.

Oh dear, just found out about this--so sorry! The boot will make your outfits even more fun to watch as I know you'll be handling this in style!

The new boot really does show off the other sexy ankle!

Hugs and a speedy recovery to you Mary! Looking as fab as ever despite 'das boot'!
