It’s been a rough couple of days here since saying goodbye to our sweet little pup on the morning after Christmas, but I pulled myself together yesterday to go do some work at the studio and then go out for Indian dinner with my husband (pic 1). I got these crazy boots at one of those Nordstrom Rack clearance sales for about $20 last spring and finally got a chance to wear them for a day when I wouldn’t be doing a lot of walking (I wasn’t sure how the comfort would be since the heels are higher than my daily wear shoes these days). Hubs loved the boots and couldn’t believe they were so inexpensive. The rest of the outfit is quite basic but I like a simpler outfit when I wear crazy shoes.

Pics 2-4 are from today. Sorry the light is bad. This was for a celebration of life for the dad of one of my BFFs since we were about 13 years old. A sad reason to come together, but a wonderful chance to see friends we haven’t seen in a long time. Pic 4 is with a beautiful handmade scarf my sister got for me while we were in London, and I wore my Burberry teal trench with this because it was relatively warm and rainy today.
