Greetings Fabbers,
I haven't been on the forum much lately due to being really busy with work and very tired because of some ongoing thyroid issues. I am reading a lot, both blog and forum, but I seem to lack time and energy to do more than that. In an effort to change, I have a couple of outfits to post (and many planned forum posts in my head that I hope to get to sooner rather than later).

This past Saturday my contracting company had an annual awards ceremony evening event, with semi-formal dress code. I decided to where my cream & black Ted Baker dress that I bought for an early fall gala evening at a conference but ended up not wearing. I wore it with sheer black hose, black SE Okala shoes, silver BR clutch and pearl/velvet AT choker. Blue patterned pashmina served double duty: it worked as a scarf for outside and a wrap during dinner, and I wore my blue Loft faux fur jacket as outerwear.

I was pretty pleased with the outfit and how it turned out. However, it made me aware of two wardrobe semi-holes: items that I could theoretically do without but would be useful to have. Those are a cocktail dress of similar level of formality with long or 3/4 sleeves, and dressy shoes with covered backs - both more appropriate for this type of events in the winter. I do have such silver shoes by TopShop, but do not like to wear silver shoes and bag at the same time,.
