WIW: 1/14, Christmas gift - YouLookFab Forum

Have been having such a hard time doing anything since catching a horrendous cold/flu about ten days ago. And today it's raining too! This year has really had a tough start.

But Im trying to at least get back to getting dressed. I'm wearing my Christmas gift for the second time - a Tory Burch cropped Moto I had been dreaming about and put on my Christmas Pinterest board. Of course I was dreaming about it (and pinned it) in the lovely deep chocolate color which would have been an interesting color voice for me, but DH Santa got it in black, probably because I already have a black leather jacket so he assumes I like them haha. But who am I to argue with this gift? Besides, the brown was sold out on Christmas Day ( I checked ).

Also here: striped thin cashmere blend sweater from Club Monaco, JCrew straight jeans, and Frye Philip Harness Booties.

Any ideas for styling the jacket are welcome. Definitely need help there.

That jacket is beautiful - the quality looks amazing. I love how you've chosen to wear it today and I think it would look good with almost anything! Since it's cropped you can probably wear it with skirts/ dresses, no?

Great jacket! I like it with the stripes but it seems versatile enough to go with a variety of tops.

great jacket. i would think this would look lovely with just about anything/everything. in my head i'm wearing it with black work trousers, bootie and a white tee, and then for the weekend i've got white jeans and white tee.

Great fitting and beautiful clean lines on the jacket – nothing wrong with having two black leather jackets (ahem, three over here but all different styles). I have to tell you, when I look a some of your front page photos (no head) I get startled a bit because I think it's me! Ha, ha, probably just wishful thinking, flattering myself.

I hope you get to feel better pretty soon. My year started with a hit-and-run on my car with damage to bumper & rear quarter... dealing with insurance now : ( I can't wait to get through it.

Lovely chic outfit, polished and relaxed at the same time. I bet you could wear that jacket with bootcut/flared pants and pointy booties.

Thanks everyone, and thanks for the suggestions on how to style this jacket. I've never really had too much success with the jacket and dress combo. It always looks weirdly forced on me. But that was before I had YLF to come to for feedback, so I will be back to get your thoughts!
And kkards, I love the idea of wearing it with all clean white. So cool.
Gracie, I guess it's not too bad having more than one black leather jacket. Although I realize I now have FIVE black jackets overall -- two leather, one suiting, one drapey moto, one boucle-esque. Is that too many????
