Rae, flats with longer skirts is something I've been slow to come around to. I probably wouldn't have ever tried it if hubby hadn't suggested it. I even like them with midi lengths now! (what is the world coming to....)
Jenava, yes exactly! Though it does make capsule crossover difficult since there's almost no bombshell in my every day wear I am still thinking more on it, and I'll probably write up a post on the idea soon. But I have used this idea for a couple events now and it's working so well that I think I can finally determine a couple of event capsule items that could really transform some of those crossover wardrobe items.
Mary, I showed hubby the photo and he said "Hah! No one ever says I look like anybody!" And of course then he immediately had to go see what he wears on the show :} (We came in on the 11th Doc and haven't seen much besides the realllyyyy old ones.)
Denise, you have an excellent eye! I did wear add a little shimmer eye shadow in a shade one lighter than my skin on the lid for extra brightness. I don't wear it often though. If I was skilled enough to do a proper smokey eye, I'd have done that.
