Angie personally recommended this poncho to me, so I bought it at the Seattle Shoptember Ingefest. It wasn't available in regular sizes at the store, so I had it shipped. It just went on sale (25% off because Nordstrom has started doing price matching), so I was able to get the difference credited back to my card. I had been waffling about keeping it since it was kind of expensive at full price, but now that it's on sale I couldn't resist! It's very soft and comfy. It's kind of like my orange poncho (#6) and blardigan (#7) had a love child! I wore it two days in a row, with moto leggings and peep toe sandals to work, and with ripped jeans and flat moto boots for MOTG. Very versatile poncho. And very forgiving (I've gained about 5 lb recently so all my jeans are tight!) The Ugg boots are a SSIF purchase too and very comfy with the fleece lining.

Question: does the poncho look too big on me? It's a size S (normally I wear size 4-6 so the size charts recommended S). Or should I try an XS? I think it's supposed to be roomy but I'm not sure if it's too baggy? The arms and shoulders fit well.

Also: are these all statement pieces? The poncho seems like a statement piece for sure due to the silhouette, although the grey and black is a bit subdued and very neutral looking. The black purse is very much an essential, but the studs make it more of a statement piece. The leggings and sandals could be considered essentials, because they go with a lot of different tops, but they seem to attract a lot of attention/compliments too, so maybe they are also statement pieces. I got lots of comments on the "cool sandals", even more than the poncho. And the leggings are not plain black, they have moto detailing which makes them more of a statement. I think that may be why I sometimes have a hard time figuring out what to wear...even my essentials are statement pieces! I always am attracted to clothes that have some sort of interesting detail, so I tend to end up with more ALGO outfits. Also I love patterns, which automatically makes an item more memorable and more of a statement. This outfit is very neutral and minimal for me (no patterns!), but I still feel like the individual pieces are quite statement-y.

Thanks for looking and commenting!
