I haven't been much around on the forum in the last two weeks, as I was super busy, and I have quite a backlog of outfits to post. First, here is what I wore on my birthday, which are two new dresses! I had a wonderful day and was really spoiled by my friends. The day started with a fancy brunch with lots of chocolate and some champagne, then I got a haircut, and in the evening there was a lovely dinner with lots of people in a very nice Italian restaurant. I had a blast.

The first dress was an accidental find at a Rack, very deeply discounted. It is a DVF, and she has been making similar dresses for years. I have always liked them, but the full price was a bit too much for a dress that would not get worn a lot. The color may be a bit too strong for my coloring, but with slightly stronger make up I think I can get away with it. I tried to really dress it down for the brunch with tights and boots. But I mostly plan to dress it up in the future and wear it with heels.

The second dress was a planned BR purchase. I haven't bought a new dance dress in years, and wanted to update my collection. I had also wanted something that can be worn in other situations though, and this dress was perfect. It can be worn as skirt with various knitwear which increases the styling options.
