WIW- dinner again!

I am wearing this to a bbq at my MIL.
I think it looks better IRL. Looking at the picture I don't really like it, but I can't figure out why. Maybe the pants look like sweatpants... They are cuffed, looser pants.
I am wearing my usual blue purse, I think it's my favourite part of the ensemble.

I think those are fun pants. Perhaps you need an edgier shoe? A wedge perhaps (I'd say a pump but that won't work at a BBQ when you are walking on grass). The flat sandal you have now could remind too much of a sneaker, maybe that's what is giving the outfit a sweatpant vibe?

Lisa, in other occasions I have worn heeled sandals, but with the baby, flats shoes are more practical. But yes, heels work definitely better!

I love the style and color of the pants - it is a casual pretty outfit.

Try it with the pants hem turned under to ankle length see if that makes you like it better. I struggle with the excess fabric pooling on straight or narrow ankle pants when the fabric is soft. I have a similar shaped soft fabric pair I need to shorten to that length so that I will wear them.

I agree with Laura G! Very pretty outfit. I think the sandals are great, actually. They really work with the soft, flowy lines of the clothes.

Great pants! Perhaps turn the cuff up a few times to expose the ankle more? I wear those types of pants with a sneaker ( lace up or slip on style) for a current + casual vibe.

I like this outfit and I do not see anything wrong with it. The pants actually look like sweatpants, but dressy sweatpants, and I find them very nice. Just an idea, maybe you would prefer a fitted top with them? This is what happens to me at least: if I am wearing something loose, I prefer the other garment fitted (fluid top + skinny pants or fitted top + fluid bottom).

Your pants are lovely color and super for those hot days with fantastic blouse. Just try to hem them under to ankle length and see how do you feel. I personally prefer this length .
