WIW- bomber and dress

Dear YLF Today we are back to boots and to a color combination that has been following me this winter, cobalt and black. As a nod to 2013 I added my bomber jacket. Are the proportions all right in this? I feel that the jacket might be a bit too long. Comments and suggestions welcome. Eta: usually if the thread is in the second page I don't like to bump it bu answering on it but i do appreciate your input and take it into consideration for next time. Laura yesterday you told me that the outfit was too dark on top and the converse too white and i agree that a little bit more of white on the top would make a big difference. Thank you for looking.

Love the black and cobalt! The scarf adds a touch of spring. The bomber may be a bit long for a dress but I think it looks fine. In fact it may do a better job of balancing the black boots because it is a little long.

Celia, you look stunning in cobalt; it was a great colour choice this year for you. I think you might be right about the jacket -- not with pants but maybe a bit long for a dress. But what happens if you do the bottom up a bit and let it blouse? does that shorten it visually?

Suz the jacket doesn't hold up if blouse it. I guess it also doesn't help that the dress has no visible ( or invisible for that matter ) waist line. Maybe the white leather jacket will work better here.

Thank you for your comments. Joy I missed your comment the first time i saw the post. I bough the scarf precisely to springify my outfits but am finding out that i don't like them that much anymore. I mean I like the look but am finding them a little bit fussy to wear. Maybe i will try one of the chunky necklaces instead. Day Vies, you made me smile. I do like to mix it up Ceit I discover that cobalt is very kind to my skin imperfections. Funny how colors work. Suz I have to see how the high tops work with my leg line. Maybe as they are white and my legs are kind of the same color they wont be too stumpefying.

What Joy and Suz said. Try the bomber with pants and jeans instead. The bomber is bulky, which makes it look heavy over the dress, and accentutes it's too long length. I hope that makes sense!

Hello Kitty - Hi, nice to see you. Angie - It makes perfect sense. The bulkiness was had made me put it aside this year and it made me think that all bombers would feel the same. The other time i wore it with pants it felt much better.
