WIW- back to my old self in trousers

Hello YLF,

Today I debut my trousers (one of them) with an outfit that I would have worn some years ago.
I am wondering if this is a good thing or not. Do you have outfits that you revert to sometimes?
Am i being boring in this outfit?

Nothing wrong with quiet classics.

If you feel boring in this, punch it up with a brightly coloured scarf instead of the matchy-matchy one. Or add a really cute hat.

Jr I actually feel pretty comfy in this. What you see is the collar of the shirt not a scarf but a colorful scarf is a great idea.
i just feel that i completed a circle where I ended up in the same place. maybe this is my average style.

I wonder if pre-YLF your bag would have been brownish too?
This great forum gives us fresh ideas for our older fav. outfits, so we can give them new life, but still feel true to our own unique style.

Lyn you have s good point. probably my bag would have been brown or tan instead of burgundy ( you cannot tell is so much burgundy in the photo.)

I like this look, Celia! I don't think it looks boring at all. In fact, I think it is good to revisit old favourites periodically and see how you can update them with your new ideas.

I love the burgundy bag! This is a classic look, and I quite like it. Add a patterned scarf or a brooch on the coat to take it up a notch.

I'm with the others in thinking this is a classic casual look that looks timeless and elegant. But, if you feel like you need a change, a new color-blocked clutch and patterned or textured scarf or top would give it a different vibe. As would a different, funkier boot or shoe. It wouldn't be better, but it might feel different enough to avoid that comfy, but in a rut, feeling.
