WIW- 3 capsule outfits - YouLookFab Forum

I've been sticking with my capsule still. I'm really loving the pieces in the capsule, so it's fun to have motivation to wear them more frequently. Online shopping has been a big distraction for me lately, so I'm curious to see how I do without it.

1&2- Friday night we went to family camp. This was my first outing of the Everlane turtleneck. It will get a ton of wear this winter!
3- this is where capsules are golden. I needed to throw on something other than my pajamas for a last minute trip to a pumpkin farm.
4&5- Silk blouse and pontes are definite FFBO contenders.

Interesting note on sharing outfits of the day. Last week it kept me on track with the capsule. This week I feel a little conscious of how similar outfits feel if I only change the bottoms from boyfriend to skinny. I'm enjoying the minimalism for now, but already noticing how thin the line is between simple and boring.

I do like you in a V-neck, Traci. Great looks, and thrilled to see that you're thinking of your wardrobe in terms of capsules.

Your new NAS mustard suede jacket would work well here too.

Angie, the suede jacket did get pulled into the capsule. We've been having so much rain that I've been leaving it safely in the closet though. I need to spray it so I'm not so worried about it getting wet.

I am a fan of capsule wadrobe dressing. That jacket is lovely and I agree with Angie about the v-neck.

Do you have and color or texture in your capsule wadrobe? Sometimes that us needed. Accessories can work wonders.

I know I've said it before, but I just love that toffee color on you -- and it looks so good paired with ink and black.

You need an umbrella to go with your suede jacket.

Thank you for the comments. There is very little pattern in this capsule, but these are probably my most richly textured clothes. The coatigan is fluffy and curly and squishy in the best way, the silk shirt is almost like liquid suede and the toffee sweater is knit of a nice cashmere. I think the texture probably doesn't come through in pictures, I'm not even sure it shows up to others in real life, but on my body all these clothes feel luxurious.

This capsule is made up of very very simple pieces. I only have a few spots of pattern and barely any color. This was a conscientious choice that I had to keep in the front of my mind. For a few years now I've been admiring more minimal looks, but when I'd go into my closet to recreate them I had so much pattern and color. I've noticed a huge shift in my preferences for extras. In the past, with a short haircut I would have immediately "needed" big earrings. I'm not even drawn to studs with this cut. I'm also almost completely off of necklaces which is an interesting change for me from the last decade. I suspect I'll come back around to some middle ground after a while, but for now the simplicity is really appealing to me.
