Recently elpgal asked about what you wear during travel in this post.

Here's an outfit from a quick one night trip for work. I often stick with black as a base for my outfits because the pieces can be remixed easily. (I've gotten stuck with cancelations before that had me staying an extra night unexpectedly and having to go into work a second day, so mixing and matching is essential).

1. and 2. For the Plane - Base Layer
My base layer for the plane was a nicer striped tee and comfortable pants. These are the Zella Modal Blend Scuba and the reviews are correct, they remind me a lot of the Spanx Air Essentials pants.

3. and 4. For the Plane - Layered
I popped on the matching sweatshirt for the Zella Modal Blend Scuba pants which is in the same material as the pants because I'm always cold on planes.

5. and 6. For the Meeting - Base Layer

7. and 8. For the Meeting - Layered
I popped on a jacket for meetings. The jacket and pants are from WHBM last year. I know the pants are available in other colors now, they are the "Mid-Rise Pret-A-Pedi Straight Crop Pants". I own two pairs and they pack well for business travel.

The return flight was direct to the airport from the meeting. I only had time to swap the sandals for the same slip on sneakers that I wore the day before. I don't like to fly with heels because my feet are cold without socks, plus with sneakers it's easier to run if needed to catch a flight. Also, sometimes heels have nails in them that will set off the scanners so I've learned to always swap my shoes before going through the security check-points.
