I think this qualifies as volume over volume. The shorts are Phillip Lim Bloomer shorts that DH likes to make fun of because they are so voluminous. I like them. And the shirt is something I picked up here in Montreal for $10 from Simons. I don't have much color so the lemon-lime stripes feel fun to me for summer and the loose, drapey feel is good for the heat. So I don't know if they work well together but I think I like it! Sorry didn't have shoes on but if you can imagine it I would probably be wearing my grey Keds with this. It makes it casual but I'm on vacay so that works for me!
