WIW - taking plaid into spring

Here's a recent WIW. I wore the plaid skirt with the green denim jacket a while ago and planned to wear the combination again in warmer weather. I had a bit of a problem to find spring appropriate hose, I really need to buy some light colored or nude options. The grey ones were the lightest ones I could find. Do you think it works?

Oh and my ballet flats are more comfortable now, seems like my feet are slowly getting used to them again. And I took my oxfords and glued the soles together myself, we'll see how long it keeps. They're still horribly scuffed of course, so I'm going to look for a replacement all the same.

Like the teal jacket here! It lightens up the outfit and matches the plaid in the skirt, isn't it? Love the grey tights, too!
(I'm very picky about tan tights when so much leg is shown like in ballet flats. They have to be very low DEN and match exactly my actual pale skin colour, which is so hard to find, better go with a greyish one!
Light shoes are a must for all of us Astrid, maybe try some grey ones?)

Thanks Lyn! The jacket isn't an exact match to the green in the skirt, but it's close. I really like the way it picks up the color, the skirt doesn't seem to be as dark paired with the jacket. And I agree, good tights for pale legs are hard to find! The black ballet flats are my only real option at the moment, when it comes to shoes I can wear with skirts and tights (besides my boots of course). I could wear the newly glued oxfords, but otherwise I only have the burgundy sneakers and those don't go so well with a skirt. Like I said, I need more shoes! I agree that some light colored ones would be nice.

That green color of your jacket is so incredibly flattering on you and works beautifully with that plaid skirt. I also like how your top and your watch strap seem to match.

Charming! Something delightfully 'countryside awakening' about this with the green and plaid and peek of bright colour---makes me think of walking out amongst spring bulbs putting out fresh blades and buds... And the freshness of your hair and complexion don't hurt a bit!

I think the tights work very well---adds just the right touch of sobriety, just a touch of leftover winter frost to the playful, sporty/country elements to make a polished, feminine whole.
