An assortment of WIW's from Jan to early Feb. Temps have ranged from 15 degrees to about 60 degrees, so, uh, that helps avoid a winter rut. (Also, this is what I point to when I explain why I work for an environmental nonprofit.)

I wish I had more of my casual outfits here, since I think they represent more a shift in my style, but you all have seen how horrible the pictures in my bathroom come out. I'd move that mirror anywhere else but it's literally impossible to find another space in our apartment.

1. Boden sweater, old Loft ponte pants, Sofft tall boots. I have moved away from the ponte pants plus tall boots look a bit, but it's still useful for winter.

2. AT top with purple embroidery, Wit & Wisdom jeans, Born Chelsea boots

3. BR pink sweater, LOFT grey velvet cropped pants, Born Chelsea Boots

4. Boden dress, Sofft boots. I wore this for lunch with my husband during Restaurant Week.

5. LOFT embroidered sweater, AT jeans, Born Cardi booties

6. Old ON sweater, AT olive jeans. probably the Chelsea boots again. This sweater is one of the oldest ones in my rotation - maybe 5 years old? It's pilling so it may get passed on after this season.

7. An attempt at a more "Casual Friday" type outfit. LOFT blue long cardigan, LOFT grey velvet pants, J Crew tee, and Converse sneakers. It's hard to tell, but the cardigan feels a little shapeless on me - I used to love long chunky knits but have moved away from that look, except that it's useful in winter.

8. Worn to a Sunday matinee concert at Carnegie hall. J Crew Blouse, AT jeans, and Born teal boots. It was a mild day, and I felt sick, so I knew a sweater would smother me, especially as I had to hike up to the balcony for our seats. I did layer a heattech tank top under the blouse.

9. Same day, but with my new J Crew coat over it.

10. This was a 60 degree day, so I took the opportunity to wear cropped jeans plus new sneakers. Jeans are AT, sneakers are Converse. The sweater is from Boden. NB: I made a few attempts to style these sneakers with lighter colored jeans and a more cropped top, but came to the conclusion that it was too many trendy elements for me to like it as a work outfit (though I liked the outfits I created). The BRIGHT white sneakers were trendy enough on their own in this case.

11. Today's outfit and my favorite of all. New BR sweater, Wit & Wisdom jeans, and Naturalizer booties. Love love love this sweater.
