Hi all, just a quick share of my new wool-blend coat while I have some time (in short supply lately *sigh*) ... I went a little sideways on the colour. The fit is good; tailored but not tight, with room to comfortably layer a thin puffer under if needed. It's not fashion forward but that's fine because I don't like buying lots of coats so I'd rather more classic with better longevity, and I've always liked these belted styles. Inexpensive (yay) and is finished nicely. I think it looks better than the price would suggest (and def. better than other things in the price point I saw, that weren't even lined!)
I've always been taken with the 'camel coat' idea, and I finally gave in as the right taupe/tan was eluding me when this caught my eye. I am surprised that I actually quite like the warm tone on me tbh; in fact, I've been messing around with adding small warm elements, like gold earrings or warmer lippies, to my outfits and I'm enjoying the effect ... I think it especially makes black look much better on me. Notsaf suggested ages ago I should consider adding camel, and she was quite right!
DD also advised me that totes are the bag to wear this season, so I've been carrying a similarly toned leather tote I've had for years and I like the monochromatic effect with this coat.
Not much shopping happening otherwise; waiting until Christmas now (although one never knows)! Thanks for looking xx
